WELLINGTON – Oct. 16, 2015 – Congratulations to Donald Arsenault of Maximeville, right, the happy winner of a two-minute shopping spree at Wellington Co-op Friday, Oct. 16. He easily reached the $500 limit, focussing his efforts mostly in the meats section. Co-op manager Ricky Arsenault is seen congratulating the winner.

More than 200 people showed up at the store in time for the 6 p.m. draw. Throughout the week, for each purchase they made, members received a ballot for the draw; then, they had to be at the store at draw time to win. Donald’s name was actually the second one drawn since the first person wasn’t at the store. Several door prizes were also given out.

The shopping spree was one of several events organized to celebrate Co-op and Small Business Weeks.
