Lunch-and-learns to explore how consumer reviews can contribute to success or failure of a business

In Wellington and Charlottetown

tina et jacintheWELLINGTON – Feb. 6, 2015 – All francophone businesses and organizations that offer direct services to the public could very well benefit from upcoming lunch-and-learns entitled « How customer reviews can contribute to the success or failure of your business ».

The first one will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Wellington Rural Action Centre at 12 noon, while the second one follows on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown, also at 12.

Nowadays, customer reviews that can be found on the Internet, including on social media sites, greatly influence those who consult them. This new way of expressing satisfaction or displeasure with a product or service can greatly benefit a business but can also harm it considerably.

Tina Robichaud, communications consultant from T. Robichaud Consulting, and Jacinthe Lemire are offering to demystify this new phenomenon. They’ll answer three essential questions to help businesses profit the most from customer reviews:

  • How can I use social networks to get positive reviews on a company’s or organization’s products and services?
  • Which are the most popular, specialized customer review sites?
  • What can I do if I discover a negative comment that could harm the reputation of my business or organization?

The Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and the Wellington Rural Action Centre are pleased to jointly host these lunch-and-learns since they could very well help Island businesses improve their management and their public relations.

The registration free is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members. Those wishing to participate must register no later than Feb. 20 by contacting Ève-Alexandra St-Laurent at (902) 854-3439, Ext. 228, or at eve@rdeeipe.org.
