Second business mixer being organized to network with Summerside business community

reception 2014 lowresSUMMERSIDE – April 8, 2015 – Hoping to repeat last year’s success, four partners from the Island’s Acadian and Francophone community are re-joining forces to host a second business mixer for the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce Thursday, April 23, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside.

The hosts of this event will again be RDÉE Prince Edward Island, the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE), the Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. and the Centre Belle-Alliance.

“We want to give an opportunity for the Summerside business community to network with us so they’ll get to know our businesses, organizations, services and facilities better,” says Jeannette Arsenault, spokesperson for the CCAFLIPE, on behalf of the four hosting organizations. “All Francophone and Anglophone business people, including our members from all over the province, are invited to attend free of charge. One never knows: they might meet someone they could do business with.”

The hosts and organizers will have an opportunity to say a few words during the brief formal part of the mixer. Participants will get to visit booths set up by several Summerside area businesses as well as by the RDÉE et and the Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. Door prizes will be offered at all booths.

Attendees will also be able to snack on hors d’oeuvres, provided by the hosts. A cash bar service will also be provided.

A similar business mixer, with three of the same hosts, was recently held at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown. It attracted about 100 people.
