Tickets for 2015 Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala now on sale at three locations

CBDC Central PEI returns as sponsor

CBDC commanditelowresSUMMERSIDE – Jan. 29, 2015 – “Come and help us celebrate the great accomplishments and economic contributions of the finalists and winners of our entrepreneurial awards competition,” suggests Jeannette Arsenault, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI. “Buy your tickets right away for the 2015 Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala, to be held March 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside.”

Arsenault announced that tickets are now on sale at the Wellington Rural Action Centre, at the reception desk of the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside or at the RDÉE PEI office at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown. Tickets are being sold for $30 plus HST ($34,20) for Chamber and RDÉE PEI members and $35 plus HST ($39.90) for non-members. The deadline for ticket purchases is March 6.

The spokesperson noted the Gala is the Chamber’s biggest and most prestigious event of the year, so all members are urged to attend. The gala is part of the Rendez-vous de la francophonie celebrations.

The evening includes a reception, a delicious three-course banquet and the awards ceremony.

This year, the Chamber will present its five regular awards: the 2015 Young Enterprising Person Award, the 2015 Business Woman of the Year, the 2015 Co-op of the Year, the 2015 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award and the President’s 2015 Award of Excellence. Twelve finalists are vying for these prizes. In addition, a Young Millionaires Award will be presented to a teenaged entrepreneur who stood out by his accomplishments last summer.

At the end of the evening, a number of door prizes will be drawn.

IMPRESSIVE SPONSOR

On a separate note, the spokesperson announced that the first official sponsor of the 2015 Gala is the CBDC Central PEI. “Last November, we emailed them a sponsorship proposal. The very next day, loan officer Tania Bernard answered affirmatively that the CBDC would be returning once again as a $1,000 sponsor. This organization is therefore one of our most loyal partners. We certainly appreciate their continued collaboration.”
