Workshop on branding and promotion slated for Feb. 22

WELLINGTON – Jan. 25, 2012 – Following two training sessions that were much appreciated by his trainees, Bernie Belliveau from Apropos Marketing Communications of Moncton, N.B., will soon return to PEI to deliver a third workshop, this time addressing the theme of branding and promotion.

Offered by ProfitLearn PEI in collaboration with the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE), this workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 1-3 p.m. in the RDÉE PEI board room at 48 Mill Road, Wellington.

“During our first two workshops in January, participants got to learn all about preparing a solid marketing plan for their business or community organization,” explains Jeannette Arsenault, spokesperson for the CCAFLIPE. “And now, participants will learn more about another important dimension of the marketing spectrum – the development and promotion of a brand.”

She adds that the workshop participants in January greatly appreciated Belliveau’s training style. He in fact has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing field and is president of his own company. The Chamber therefore approached him to ask if he’d be interested in delivering the third workshop in February. He accepted without hesitation.

The registration fee is $45 plus GST for CCAFLIPE and RDÉE members and $50 plus GST for non-members. To register for the Wellington sessions, people are asked to contact Jeannine Arsenault at (902) 854-2328, Ext. 228, or jeannine@sdbaipe.org. Cheques, payable to ProfitLearn PEI, must be received by the registration deadline of Feb. 16.

ProfitLearn PEI provides management training to businesses across Prince Edward Island in concert with community partners. The program operates through funding support of ACOA, Innovation PEI and UPEI. Contact ProfitLearn marweeks@upei.ca for more details.
