Workshop on developing experiential tourism events slated for September 18

WELLINGTON – September 11, 2019 – All those interested in developing some kind of activity that offers an authentic tourism experience are invited to register for a free experiential tourism workshop being held Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the board room of the Wellington Rural Action Centre.

Trent Birt, events development officer with the provincial Department of Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture, will explain (in English) how Islanders could develop new experiential events to meet the demand of visitors to the Island. These types of projects could obviously generate new revenues for individuals, companies or organizations.

« All you need to bring to the workshop is a pen, some paper and a creative spirit, » says Paul D. Gallant, who is coordinating the organization of the evening.

« This workshop will help you plan and create new experiential products that mix in well with products or services you may already offer, » he adds. « Participants in this training will also be offered additional support after the workshop to help them commercialize their ideas. »

To register, send an email to Gallant at pauldgallant@gmail.com.
