LIENS sponsors 2017 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award

liens commandite gala lowresSUMMERSIDE – Feb. 22, 2017 – For a second year in a row, the LIENS immigration project is sponsoring the Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year Award, being presented by the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI at its Entrepreneurs’ Gala.

During this popular evening of recognition, Saturday, March 18, at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside, the 2017 Immigrant Entrepreneur will be presented to one of the three finalists: the psychologist Dr. Abder Sahouli from Montague, Gideon Banahene from Danso Bikes in Charlottetown or Joseph Sammoun from Shaddy’s Restaurant in Charlottetown.

In the photo, LIENS project coordinator Sylvain Duguay is seen discussing the $1,000 sponsorship with Bonnie Gallant, executive director of RDÉE PEI, the parent organization of the Acadian Chamber.

Tickets for the gala are now on sale until March 10 at the Wellington Rural Action Centre, the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside and the RDÉE PEI offices at the Carrefour in Charlottetown.
