Speaker Sylvie Desjardins: “The Highs, The Lows… and Cold Coffee”

CHARLOTTETOWN – Sept. 19, 2025 – Francophone and Francophile women who are already entrepreneurs or interested in entrepreneurship are invited to attend the fourth Evening of Inspiration hosted by the Solution Succession program, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown.

Presented jointly by the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, this evening is part of the Co-op and Small Business Weeks program, which runs Oct. 12-25.

The highlight of this relaxed but informative and inspiring social evening will undoubtedly be the presentation “Entrepreneurship: The Highs, The Lows… and Cold Coffee” by renowned speaker Sylvie Desjardins of NxCareer in New Brunswick.

In this inspiring and authentic talk, Desjardins will share her unfiltered entrepreneurial journey: from chaotic beginnings to notable successes, while juggling the challenges of a busy personal life. Between laughter, lessons, and memorable anecdotes, she will explore what it really means to be an entrepreneur today. Participants will leave with:

• A healthy dose of humor and motivation;
• Concrete tools to overcome obstacles and move forward with confidence;
• A refreshing perspective on work-life balance.

THE SPEAKER

Sylvie Desjardins is the CEO of NxCareer, a strategic consultant, and a career rehabilitation professional (CVRP). She is also a Certified Canadian Counselor (CCC) with the Canadian Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy and a certified member of the New Brunswick College of Marriage and Family Therapists (LCT).

As a trainer and speaker, Sylvie is known for developing informative, practical, and humorous training sessions. She is dedicated to sharing ideas, tools, and resources that will help as many people as possible create the life they want. By combining relevant facts and information with humor, Sylvie communicates ideas in a way that leaves her audience feeling inspired every time.

THE EVENING

Aimed at promoting networking, empowerment, and the visibility of women, this Evening of Inspiration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an informal networking period in a friendly musical atmosphere. There will be a bar service and a mini photo studio with a photographer available for taking professional profile photos.

Host and coordinator Jacinthe Lemire, a consultant with Solutions eurêka experts-conseils, will give a few words of welcome and the participants will introduce themselves. This will be followed by a delicious supper. While the participants enjoy their dessert, Sylvie Desjardins will give her presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period.

After a short break, the coordinator will host a Kahoot Quiz, an interactive entrepreneurial quiz game played using an app called Kahoot, where participants answer questions on their smartphones and the answers are tabulated and projected in real time on a large screen. There will be door prize draws and a group photo will be taken.
