For the 13th time, Radio-Canada Acadie continues sponsorship of Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala

CHARLOTTETOWN – March 5, 2026 – The number 13 is sometimes associated with bad luck. But for Radio-Canada Acadie, it’s a lucky number, as the corporation is back for a 13th time as a Gold-level sponsor of the Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala, hosted by the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE).

Rather than providing monetary support, the national radio station is lending the CCAFLIPE the voice of Denis Duchesne, host of its program Votre samedi (and formerly of Le Réveil Île-du-Prince-Édouard), to produce biographical audio recordings of all the Gala award finalists and winners and of those being inducted into the Chamber’s Business Hall of Fame.

Gala participants will again have the privilege of hearing Duchesne’s recorded voice when they watch short videos about each finalist’s business life on the big screen.

In exchange for its fantastic sponsorship this year, Radio-Canada Acadie will have the honor of presenting one of the 2025 Young Millionaires Awards to participants of this youth entrepreneurship program who were successful in their businesses last summer.

The CCAFLIPE considers Radio-Canada Acadie and Duchesne (pictured) to be pillars of the Gala’s traditions. The coordinator of the entrepreneurial recognition evening, Alecia Arsenault, recently visited the production studio to discuss the sponsorship with Duchesne.

During the Gala, which will take place on Saturday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village, guests will first enjoy a delicious three-course meal. The CCAFLIPE and RDÉE Prince Edward Island will then present awards in six categories to deserving individuals and businesses and induct four entrepreneurs and businesspeople into the Chamber’s Business Hall of Fame. Tickets, priced at $50 each (tax included), are on sale until March 13 at the Wellington Rural Action Centre, at marthe@rdeeipe.org or by calling 902-854-3439.
