Atlantic Lottery: New sponsor for 2026 Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala

CHARLOTTETOWN – Feb. 17, 2026 – The Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI is very pleased to announce that it has welcomed a new platinum-level sponsor for this year’s Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala: Atlantic Lottery Corporation. Gala coordinator Alecia Arsenault recently met with Atlantic Lottery’s Island representative, David MacKenzie, general manager of Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown and Summerside, to discuss this popular evening of entrepreneurial recognition, which will take place on Saturday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village. Atlantic Lottery will sponsor the 2026 Special Recognition Award, which will be given to the characters “Mélina pi Gélina” (Samantha Arsenault and Debbie Rousselle-Montgomery), who promote tourism in their region through their hilarious video clips on Facebook. The sponsorship will help cover the many expenses of the Gala, during which awards will be presented in six categories, and four businesspeople will be inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Anyone wishing to attend the event is asked to purchase tickets ($50, tax included) by March 13 at the Wellington Rural Action Centre in person, by email at marthe@rdeeipe.org, or by phone at 902-854-3439. Payment can be made by e-transfer, credit card, or cash.
