WOODSTOCK – Aug. 22, 2025 – MacDonald Insurance and Investments (The Co-operators) is once again sponsoring the Acadian Golf Tournament, being held this year at the Fox Meadow Golf Course in Stratford on Sunday, Sept. 7, starting at 12 noon. The company’s $500 sponsorship will be used to provide prizes to players as a reward for contributing to the cause, which is to raise funds for the PEI Regional Committee of Les Jeux de l’Acadie; the tournament’s proceeds will help cover expenses to transport over 100 youth and coaches to the 45th finals of Les Jeux de l’Acadie in Edmundston, NB, next June.

Gallant notes that other general or hole sponsorships ($125) are being accepted until Aug. 29. Registration of teams (for $400) or individual players ($100) will continue until that date as well. There are still spots for several teams in this 19th tournament. Players may play in the competitive division or the recreational division. Prizes will be given out in both divisions.
Registration includes the round of golf, a golf cart, a goody bag, a barbecue supper, snacks and games throughout the course. Door prizes and promotional items will be given away.
