Over $685 for ABCD Park, thanks to Co-op and Small Business Weeks

ABRAM-VILLAGE – Oct. 20, 2025 – Thanks to two activities organized specifically on its behalf during Co-op and Small Business Weeks, the ABCD Park, located on the grounds of Évangéline School in Abram-Village, has just received a generous contribution of $685.85.

Firstly, a number of community partners organized an arts and handcrafts contest for seniors in the region. Participants had the chance to win prizes drawn at random. But the arts and handcraft pieces submitted were sold by silent auction. The first $553 of the total contribution was raised in this way. Then, on Friday, Oct. 17, the Wellington Co-op held a free hotdog and hamburger barbecue and accepted donations for the cause. The remaining $132.85 came from this source.

The funds were donated to the parents’ committee that manages the playground to help it update some of its recreational equipment.
