This contest is held annually during Co-op and Small Business Weeks to encourage parents to talk to their children about local businesses and co-operatives and the services and products they offer in their region. This year’s drawings included stores, gas stations and garages, dairy bars, the Boys and Girls Club, a health center, a senior citizens’ community care centre, tourist attractions, construction companies, a cheese plant, a skating rink, a boat repair company, a credit union, a farm, and more. All the drawings were displayed on a wall at the Wellington Co-op from Oct. 14-17.
