Learning to communicate better

SUDBURY, ONT. – Dec. 4, 2012 – Communications officers from all RDÉEs from the country gathered in Sudbury, Ont., Nov. 27-28 to develop an action plan for their national committee.

The main objectives of the plan are essentially to promote greater communication between the committee members, to ensure a better promotion of network accomplishments and to encourage the RDÉEs to more actively promote the fact they are part of a national economic development network.

The second day of the gathering was devoted to training on the use of social media, specifically to better promote results and events.

Raymond J. Arsenault, left, communications officer from RDÉE Prince Edward Island, is seen chatting with trainer Denis J. Bertrand and Julie Gagné, the new communications director with RDÉE Canada.
