Lunch-and-learn on yoga at work coming to Charlottetown

karen langevin lowresCHARLOTTETOWN – April 28, 2015 – Following the huge popularity of a lunch-and-learn on yoga at work in the Evangeline area in mid-April, its organizers have decided to offer the same event to people from the Charlottetown area.

Karen Langevin, who has been practicing yoga for about a decade now, will deliver her session of yoga exercises in French Monday, May 11, at 12 noon in the Bayou 1 room at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean. Participants will learn methods they can use to relax physically and reduce their stress; much of the focus will be on breathing and healthy postures.

Those who participate are asked to wear confortable clothing. The first half-hour of the session will be dedicated to the exercises. Next, participants will have their lunch (chicken and rice pilaf) and continue the yoga discussion.

The Welllington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI are once again joining forces to organize this lunch-and-learn.

To register (at a cost of $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members), contact Ève-Alexandra St-Laurent at the Rural Action Centre at (902) 854-3439, Ext. 228, or at eve@rdeeipe.org no later than May 7.
