WELLINGTON – October 22, 2021 – People in the Evangeline and surrounding areas contributed four full boxes of non-perishable food items to a special food drive for the Lennox Island Food Bank at the Wellington Co-op over the past few weeks. They also contributed $195.60 in cash. Everyone who contributed to the cause received a ticket for a draw for the chance to win several prizes from the co-op. At the end of Co-op and Small Business Week, the organizing partners drew the prizes. They are, from left, Raymond J. Arsenault of the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, Annette Richard of the Centre scolaire-communautaire Évangéline, Josée Ouellette of the Wellington Rural Action Centre, Annette Doherty of the Wellington Co-op and Diane McInnis of the Provincial Credit Union.
