Better informed about technological tools

WELLINGTON, PEI – Jan. 24, 2013 – Sixteen people, including business people, representatives of community organizations, college business students and individuals, took part in the “Techno Flash and Social Media” workshop, hosted by Francis Thériault Jan. 24 in Wellington.

Presented jointly by the Wellington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, the workshop sought to demystify computers, tablets and their components as well as to present a series of programs and online applications that are mostly free yet extremely practical for business people.

Participants also got to briefly discuss the utility of social media in business.

Thériault, who is a special projects officer with RDÉE Prince Edward Island, is seen with two of the workshop participants, Patricia Perry, centre, and Kathlene Smallman.
