WELLINGTON, PEI – Feb. 21, 2013 – Eight people, mostly entrepreneurs and organization managers and administrators, participated in an online information session, a webinar, on the transition to the new Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) Feb. 20 from the boardroom of the Wellington Rural Action Centre (RAC).
A representative of the Canada Revenue Agency hosted the free hour-long session in French, explaining details of the complex and confusing new tax.
The session was organized by the RAC and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, in collaboration with the PEI HST Implementation Project in preparation for the April 1st introduction of the tax.
