WELLINGTON – Sept. 26, 2019 – Since the majority of its residents are fervent co-operators and some are even former entrepreneurs, Le Chez-nous Co-operative is organizing a series of activities to mark Co-op and Small Business Weeks Oct. 13-26.
First, for the entire two weeks, the senior residents of Le Chez-nous and Le Bel âge complex will have a sale of their knitted items (socks, mittens, slippers, tuques, scarves, dish cloths) and other handcrafted items. These crafts, which make great Christmas gifts, will be displayed on a table in the entrance of Le Chez-nous.
A bingo game will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. for residents and all other seniors of the Evangeline and surrounding areas. A variety of prizes will be offered, some of which will be donated by local co-operatives. Participants are invited to contribute, as an admission fee, non-perishable food items that will be donated to nearby food banks. A snack will be served. (Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.)
On Friday, Oct. 25, Le Chez-nous will host a dance for residents and all other adults from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A snack will be served.
