CIF ÎPÉ and RDÉE PEI recruit job offers for the 20th edition of Destination Canada’s Mobility Forum

CHARLOTTETOWN – January 17, 2025 – The Coopérative d’intégration francophone de l’ÎPÉ (CIF), RDÉE Prince Edward Island and other members of RDÉE Canada’s national network will be taking part in the 20th edition of Destination Canada’s 2025 Mobility Forum, to be held in Paris, France, Feb. 14-15, in Douala, Cameroon, Feb. 18-20, and virtually, March 3-5.

These events are an opportunity to showcase the many professional and entrepreneurial opportunities available on Prince Edward Island and elsewhere in Canada, while supporting future French-speaking immigrants in their move to this province and country.

The Island will be represented by Florian Enjalbal, Economic Development Manager for RDÉE PEI, and Yoan Rousseau, Employability and Employer Engagement Manager for the CIF.

“We invite Island employers to participate in the forum’s activities, or to let us know about their French or bilingual job offers as soon as possible, so that we can promote them during our visit to France and Cameroon in mid-February,” says Enjalbal. “Employers can contact me at florian@rdeeipe.org or Mr. Rousseau at yoan@cifipe.ca to share details of their job offers.”

“The CIF is once again returning to the Destination Canada Mobility Forum for 2025. We are supporting Prince Edward Island employers interested in hiring skilled workers during the event. The CIF is working with its international partners through the Canadian Embassy to meet candidates, arrange interviews and facilitate the hiring and immigration processes for skilled workers,” adds Rousseau.

THREE OBJECTIVES

At this event, the CIF and RDÉE PEI will focus on three main objectives: (1) promoting business opportunities in Prince Edward Island, (2) recruiting francophone talent to meet the needs of the local market, and (3) strengthening ties with international partners to support francophone entrepreneurship.

As mentioned, the CIF and RDÉE PEI have already participated in Destination Canada several times. A number of people from overseas have come to settle in Prince Edward Island thanks to the recruitment efforts made during these past forums.

Organized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Destination Canada will enable participants to meet experts, employers and representatives of Canadian institutions. Participants will also have access to workshops and conferences designed to guide them in their immigration project.

“As a leader in the economic development of Francophone and Acadian minority communities, RDÉE Canada is proud to be part of international events such as Destination Canada’s Mobility Forum. This event is a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration between Canada and its international partners, by highlighting our country’s economic opportunities,” says Yan Plante, president and CEO of RDÉE Canada.
