Crisp $100 bill for 8th grade classe

ABRAM-VILLAGE – Oct. 25, 2021 – Denise Millette (standing, right) and her Grade 8 class from Évangéline School contributed the highest average amount of food to the school’s non-perishable food drive held this past week. In fact, the class’ 13 students each brought in an average of 10 items, earning the class a crisp $100 cash prize from the Provincial Credit Union, represented by marketing officer Diane McInnis (standing, fourth from right). On the far left is Claudine Blaquière, teacher of the high school Geopolitics class that organized the school food drive again this year. The combined efforts of all the classes in the school brought in 853 food items. These will be delivered by the Geopolitics class to the Tyne Valley branch of the West Prince Caring Cupboard Food Bank later this week to help families in need.
