Employment standards session slated for Wellington

WELLINGTON – Oct. 30, 2020 – All employers and employees are invited to attend a free information session on the province’s employment standards on Friday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Wellington Rural Action Centre. Robert Yeo, chief employment standards officer with the province, will facilitate the two-hour session in English.

This session will provide information to help everyone better understand employer/employee rights and obligations under the Employment Standards Act and Regulations.

A variety of topics will be covered, including vacation pay, statutory holidays, special leaves, notices of termination, wage recovery, overtime, reporting pay and other areas of concern.

The session is presented jointly by the Wellington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
