Guest speaker Marie Christine Gingras of the BDC
WELLINGTON – Sept. 25, 2020 – All French-speaking entrepreneurs and co-operators are invited to participate free of charge – and online this year – in the Entrepreneurs’ and Co-operators Virtual Morning Conference Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. to explore the theme “How Entrepreneurs are Adapting to the Pandemic”.
“We are very pleased to announce that the keynote speaker on this topic will be Marie Christine Gingras, director of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) Business Centre for New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island,” Raymond J. Arsenault, on behalf of the Island partners who are presenting this session via Zoom.
The BDC briefly describes the presentation: “In this year of unprecedented crisis, Canadian entrepreneurs have once again demonstrated courage and adaptability. This year, as part of BDC’s Small Business Week, let’s take the time to recognize entrepreneurial resilience and seek to build for the future in these uncertain times.”
“Join Gingras as she provides an overview of the current economic situation and an outlook for the future. She will also present the results of a survey of 1,000 Canadian entrepreneurs and 2,000 consumers that was conducted to better understand how this crisis is changing the habits of Canadians and what Canadian entrepreneurs are doing to adapt and position themselves in this new context.”
Participants in this session will have the opportunity to view the five priorities of Canadian entrepreneurs in response to COVID-19 and discover practical tips for successfully navigating in this new business environment.
During introductory remarks to the session, facilitators will also discuss upcoming projects and activities. After the 25-minute conference, they will draw for several door prizes.
This event is presented by a partnership between the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, RDÉE Prince Edward Island, the Wellington Rural Action Centre, CBDC Central PEI and the BDC on the occasion of Co-op and Small Business Weeks, which run from Oct. 4 to 24.
All interested parties are asked to register free of charge by Friday, Oct. 16, by contacting Josée Ouellette at josee@rdeeipe.org or (902) 854-3439, ext. 228.
