WELLINGTON – Jan. 17, 2022 – Job seekers, employees, employers, businesspeople and leaders of non-profit organizations will get an opportunity to learn how to benefit from the more than 250 free, interactive, online courses offered through eForcePEI during a free information session slated for Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 12 noon.
Marloes Van Der Leeuw, customized training clerk for eForcePEI, will provide an overview of the available courses and bundles and will explain how to sign up and take the courses.
The eForcePEI.ca website explains that the courses are designed to help people acquire new work skills or upgrade their current skills at their own pace to help them navigate the ever-evolving workplace, increase their earning potential, get hired faster or simply become better at their jobs. The website has the integrated educational tools to help people gain the skills they want, no matter what level of experience their have.
Employers, in particular, are urged to attend the lunch-and-learn to find out how they could use this platform to upgrade their workers’ skillsets free of charge.
Among the most popular bundles of courses are Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Beginner Excel, WHIMIS, Personal Productivity Improvement, Workplace Conflict Resolution, Working with Difficult People, Communication Skills, Finance for Non-Financial Professionals and Marketing Essentials (Including Online Strategy).
The information session is being presented in English by the Wellington Rural Action Centre in collaboration with the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
