CHARLOTTETOWN – From June 2nd – June 4th, Quebec singer-songwriter and actor Kevin Parent and the production team for La Petite Séduction are touring Charlottetown and Rustico as part of one episode of the popular TV series.

The series has been broadcast on ICI Radio-Canada since 2005 and attracts more than 1 million viewers each week. The concept of the series is inspired by a classic Quebec film La Grande Séduction where a small village came together to charm a visiting doctor to stay. In the TV version, francophone towns try to make a celebrity fall in love with their community and way of life by showcasing their regional delights and best-kept secrets.

Islanders are invited to participate during the filming which will take place on Saturday June 3rd and on Sunday June 4th in Charlottetown and Rustico. Bring your friends, family and smiles! Extras are needed for five crowd scenes and English and French speakers of all ages are welcome.

FILMING SCHEDULE

Welcome at Peake’s Quay (Charlottetown) June 3rd from 8:15 AM – 11:00 AM
Welcome the show’s host, Dany Turcotte, and the star, Kevin Parent, to Charlottetown as they arrive in a boat to meet the Fathers of Confederation. A free breakfast will be served.

Baseball & BBQ at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean (Charlottetown) June 3rd from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Cheer on your neighbours in a unique baseball game with agriculture challenges at each base! The baseball game and camp fire will take place on the baseball diamond at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean. A BBQ will be served before 2:30 PM.

My Grandfather, My Hero at the Farmers’ Bank (Rustico) June 4th from 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Hear stories and music from local musicians and their families in front of the historic Farmers’ Bank of Rustico. BBQ hot dogs will be served.

Dany’s Challenge – The Best Storyteller (Charlottetown) June 4th from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Come out to hear tales from Charlottetown’s best storytellers! Held at the gazebo in Landing Park.

Kitchen Party on Victoria Row (Charlottetown) June 4th from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Wrap up the tour Maritime style with a kitchen party on Victoria Row with the film crew and Acadian group Vishtèn!
