Four businesses sought to participate in another spring sales mission to Quebec

CHARLOTTETOWN – Jan. 11, 2019 – “We’re looking for four bilingual PEI businesses to participate in our next sales mission to Montreal and Quebec City April 29 to May 3,” says Robert Maddix, entrepreneurial development officer with RDÉE Prince Edward Island.

“They’ll be joining the four businesses that had participated in a previous mission last fall and who will be returning this spring to finalise sales agreements and to revisit other potential clients. These businesses – Kaneshii Vinly Press, Navigate Food Safety, Atlantic Safety Wear and Charlotte Dryer Balls – are all anxiously looking forward to returning to Quebec.”

The development officer explains that participating businesses must have a product or service that is ready or almost ready to be shipped and sold to the Montreal marketplace. The only other criteria is that the company must have the capacity to interact in French with potential buyers.

Businesses accepted for the mission will be contacted by a consultant who will gather in-depth details about the products or services to be sold. The consultant will then fix meetings for each Island participant with a minimum of eight potential buyers.

“There is really no limit to the type of product that you can sell during these sales missions,” said Maddix.

Participants only have to pay 60 per cent of their lodging and transportation costs (between $750-$850). All other costs will be covered.

All of the RDÉE’s previous sales missions these past few years have generated exceptional sales for the majority of participating businesses. Generally, participants return home with an average of $25,000 in sales – which is a very good return on their investment,” adds the development officer.

All those interested in participating are urged to contact Maddix immediately at 902-370-7333, Ext. 403, or robert@rdeeipe.org to ensure their spot.

These missions are made possible thanks to contributions from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Innovation PEI.
