ABRAM-VILLAGE – Feb. 15, 2023 – In addition to winning a noteworthy start-up investment of $25,000, the champion project of RDÉE Prince Edward Island’s Francophone Ignition Contest will receive several valuable entrepreneurial rewards, including a free one-year membership to the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce. Contest coordinator Alecia Arsenault, left, recently visited Jessica Cormier, the Chamber’s manager of events and marketing, and Kaley O’Brien, the new executive director, to discuss the sponsorship. They explained that the Chamber offers its members learning and networking events, entrepreneurial support services, advocacy for the business community, and much more. Arsenault told them that the competition’s top three contestants will be invited to participate in the grand finale of the contest on Thursday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village. They will each have seven minutes to pitch their entrepreneurial projects to the three judges. These judges will then choose the entrepreneurial project that seems to have the best chance of success; this project will then receive the investment funds, the free membership to the Summerside Chamber and other great rewards.
