CHARLOTTETOWN – March 3, 2025 – The champion of the 2025 Francophone Ignition Contest, in addition to getting a $25,000 investment in their business venture, will also win a variety of other interesting prizes to support their new business project, following the Wednesday, March 5th, finals at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village.
Among other prizes, the winner will get a half-page advertisement (valued at $650) in the summer edition of the Connections magazine published by the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. Natalia Saldarriaga, left, who coordinates the competition for RDÉE Prince Edward Island, recently met with Heather Nicholson, membership and marketing manager with the Chamber, to discuss this great reward and to thank her for this generous contribution.
The finalist businesses this year are MAD-ÎPÉ by Tsiori Razafindrakoto of Summerside, Timeless Events PEI Inc. by Marie Dubé of Bayview and Productions LTDU Inc. by Hélène Lebon of Bonshaw. Everyone is invited to come watch the competition, free of charge; snacks will be served while the judges deliberate.
The Francophone Ignition Contest is carried out in partnership with Innovation PEI’s Start-Up Fund and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
