Information session on applying for government jobs slated for Sept. 13 in Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN – August 22, 2019 – All those interested in learning more about the federal and provincial public service hiring process are invited to a free luncheon meeting Friday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown.

Janet Horne of the Prince Edward Island Public Service Commission will open the session by talking about the hiring process used by the province. Then Grace Stoddart of the Public Service Commission of Canada will present the hiring process used by the federal government via videoconference. Shawn Bernard of the Canada Revenue Agency will talk specifically about the jobs available on the Island and the steps to take with this particular federal agency. All three will discuss, among other things, the eligibility criteria for these jobs.

All three presentations will be given in French.

A light lunch will be offered free of charge to participants of the session, which is organized by RDÉE Prince Edward Island’s LIENS project.
