WELLINGTON – May 11, 2016 – For the second year in a row, Innovation PEI is organizing its Ignition Fund entrepreneurial competition, offering up to $25,000 to the winners to help them launch or expand their business. Heather Rossiter, who is coordinating the program, will visit the Wellington Rural Action Centre (RAC) Thursday, June 2, to promote the program.
Her hosts, the RAC and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, therefore invite all those who have business ideas to attend a free information session on this interesting program at 1:30 p.m.
Rossiter will explain, during her bilingual presentation, that applicants must be a start-up in Prince Edward Island or entrepreneurs committed to establishing and operating a new for-profit venture on PEI. Products and/or services developed must have the potential to be sold outside of PEI.
Those interested in attending must register free of charge by May 31 by contacting Velma Robichaud at 902-854-3439, Ext. 228, or velma@rdeeipe.org.
