WELLINGTON – Feb. 28, 2017 – Six people attended a lunch-and-learn at Wellington Rural Action Centre Feb. 28 to larn all about the free online courses provided by eForcePEI. Program manager Allan Campbell, seated, explained to people such as Edgar Arsenault from Le Chez-Nous Co-op and Nicole Soucy from the Greater Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce that eForcePEI offers more than 180 free courses that provide a variety of tips and tools to Island employers and employees.
Included are courses on a wide range of topics: MS Office Suite, conflicts at work, finances and accounting, staff management, safe handling of chemicals, social media, etc. Each course can run from 10-40 minutes. Once signed up, a person has up to 12 months to complete the courses; printable certificates are available upon completion of each course. The registration deadline is March 31. The lunch-and-learn was organized by the Wellington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
