Last chance to buy tickets to win the Young Millionaires prize basket

WELLINGTON – Aug. 9, 2023 – The 2023 francophones Young Millionaires are issuing a final invitation to the public to buy tickets for their draw for a basket filled with their products, of a combined value of over $200. The deadline for purchasing tickets, priced at $2 each or three for $5, is Tuesday, Aug.15.

The draw will be held the following day. The winner will be announced on RDÉE Prince Edward Island’s Facebook page and website.

Prizes in the basket include a variety of snacks (cotton candy, potato chips, Mr. Freezes, etc.), fire starters, several gift cards, various arts and crafts, stickers, a sensory bottle, a bottle filled with sea glass, a key ring, a fridge magnet, bookmarks, jewelry (earrings, bracelets, sea glass pendant, etc.), a pen filled with seashells, photos, a candle, « slime », « Jibbitz » and more. In fact, 23 of the youth businesses and their programme coordinator contributed prizes to the basket.

Tickets are already selling well (many were sold at the recent « Mini-Market at the Mini-Mall » in Wellington as well as other locations), but the youth want to give everyone a chance to buy tickets and perhaps win. Profits will help pay for an end-of-year celebration for all the young entrepreneurs.

To buy tickets, simply visit the RDÉE ÎPÉ office (at the Wellington Rural Action Centre). Cash payments are preferred, but electronic transfers are also accepted at melodiejordan021@gmail.com.

Participants were also responsible for selling a quantity of tickets each.

The Young Millionaires continue to travel to various communities, festivals, parties and carnivals throughout the summer to sell their great products. RDÉE PEI strongly encourages people to support the Young Millionaires to help them pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
