conferencieresSUMMERSIDE – Dec. 17, 2014 – All current and potential members of RDÉE Prince Edward Island and of the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE), along with all other interested parties, are invited to attend one of two free “Members’ Luncheons” in mid-January to learn about various activities and programs slated for the coming year.

“We feel these Members’ Luncheons will be a great opportunity to pipe in the New Year and to open ourselves to all the new adventures it will bring,” says Chamber coordinator Raymond J. Arsenault.

The first luncheon will be held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 12 noon at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside while the second one will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 12 noon at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean in Charlottetown.

At both of the luncheons, CCAFLIPE spokesperson Jeannette Arsenault will announce the Chamber’s calendar of events for 2015. It will contain a wide array of networking, sharing and learning events, including new ones and popular returning ones.

Secondly, Catherine Rioux, coordinator of the LIENS project (Linking Economic Immigration to our Successes), will launch a brand new entrepreneurial coaching program aimed at encouraging Island entrepreneurs to help support immigrant entrepreneurs wishing to set up shop here on the Island.

Thirdly, Ève-Alexandra St-Laurent, client information officer with the Wellington Rural Action Centre, will speak about the various support services that the center offers to businesses and community groups.

Draws will then be made for door prizes. Small surprise gifts will be given to all participants.

All those wishing to participate must register free of charge by contacting Catherine at (902) 370-7333, Ext. 404, or catherine@rdeeipe.org by Jan. 8.
