Networking, Acadian style

reception reseautage summerside  2015 lowresSUMMERSIDE – April 24, 2015 – More than 60 entrepreneurs and business people from the Summerside area gathered at the Centre Belle-Alliance April 23 for a regular business mixer of the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce to network, to enjoy hors-d’oeuvres and to discover new products and services.

Participants had an opportunity to check out about a dozen booths located around the room; several of these had been set up by francophone organizations wishing to get better known by the English-speaking community. In fact hosted, four partners from the Acadian economic community served as hosts for the event.

Seen from left are the partners who collaborated in the organization of the mixer: Philippe Guidon, client services officer with the Centre Belle-Alliance; Donald DesRoches, president of the Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É., Jeannette Arsenault, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI; Mark O’Keefe, president of the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce; and Martin Marcoux, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island. O’Keefe noted he was quite impressed with the facilities.
