WELLINGTON – Feb. 27, 2023 – RDÉE Prince Edward Island remains the biggest sponsor of the Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala, organized by the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, since the very first edition of this evening of entrepreneurial recognition back in 2001 (when it was still called the Entrepreneurs’ Banquet). This is still the case this year for the 21st edition of the Gala, which is taking place Saturday, March 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Acadian Musical Village in Abram-Village. The RDÉE pays the salaries of the employees who organize the entrepreneurial awards competition and who coordinate the organization of the Gala. This represents several weeks’ worth of salaries. It also pays some of the administrative costs, including some of the promotional costs, the printing of the Gala souvenir booklet, accounting costs and more. In the photo, RDÉE PEI executive director Bonnie Gallant, left, discusses ticket sales with the person who is selling them, Josée Ouellette, client information officer at the Wellington Rural Action Centre. In fact, tickets are on sale only until March 3, either at the Centre in person, by phone at 902-854-3439, ext. 228, or by email at josee@rdeeipe.org.
