CHARLOTTETOWN – April 4, 2018 – “So far, five PEI businesses that have a capacity to carry out business in French have confirmed their participation on our next sales mission to Montreal April 23-27, 2018. But we still have spots for three other businesses that want to expand their markets,” says Robert Maddix, economic development officer with RDÉE Prince Edward Island. “And we’ve got to confirm their participation by this Friday, April 6th!”
“Our first three sales mission to Montreal were extremely successful. We estimate that each of our participants was able to sell more than $25,000 worth of products, which represents a very good investment for the sellers,” adds Maddix.
Participants only have to pay 60 per cent of their lodging and transportation costs (between $750-$850). All other costs will be covered.
The development officer explains that participating businesses must have a product or service that is ready or almost ready to be shipped and sold to the Montreal marketplace. The only other criteria is that the company must have the capacity to interact in French with potential buyers.
Businesses accepted for the mission will be contacted by a consultant from the company Clientis, who will gather in-depth details about the products or services to be sold. Clientis will then fix meetings for each Island participant with a minimum of eight potential buyers.
“There is really no limit to the type of product that you can sell during these sales missions,” concludes Maddix.
All those interested in participating are urged to contact Maddix immediately at 902-370-7333, Ext. 403, or robert@rdeeipe.org to ensure their spot.
