WELLINGTON – Jan. 21, 2015 – “Who will take over the reigns of your business when you retire? Come and learn more about the co-operative option during a free lunch-and-learn Thursday, Feb. 12, at 12 noon at the Wellington Rural Action Centre at 48 Mill Rd., Wellington,” says Melvin Doiron, executive director of La Coopérative de développement regional – Acadie (CDR – Acadie) of Caraquet, NB.
His presentation, in French only, in Wellington is part of an Atlantic Canadian tour to promote the concept. CDR – Acadie will be providing a free lunch for all participants.
This organization, well aware that the Evangeline region and PEI are huge supporters of the co-op movement, figured it would be a good time to start talking about co-ops as a succession option.
To register free of charge before Feb. 9, contact Ève-Alexandra St-Laurent at (902) 854-3439, Ext. 228m, or eve@rdeeipe.org.
The Wellington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI will be jointly hosting this event.
