SUMMERSIDE, PEI – Oct. 11, 2012 – The presence of the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE) was particularly highlighted during a business mixer organized by the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce at Credit Union Place in Summerside Oct. 10.
In fact, Summerside Chamber president Todd Clark noted during his remarks to the 100 or so business people present that the three priorities he wants the chamber to work on, during his mandate, are improved communications, greater involvement by young entrepreneurs and collaboration with various partners. He then specifically noted that he wants to collaborate on joint initiatives with the Acadian Chamber, with whom his chamber had signed a collaboration agreement a few years ago.
Clark, left, is seen visiting the booth that was manned jointly by the Acadian Chamber, RDÉE Prince Edward Island and Le Conseil de développement coopératif de l’Î.-P.-É. Chatting with him are Bonnie Gallant, executive director of the RDÉE, and Henri Gallant, entrepreneurial board member with both the CCAFLIPE and the RDÉE.
Reasha Walsh from the Spotlight Theatre Company won the RDÉE both draw; she received a prize package worth $75, composed of various promotional objects.
