With popular trainer Ron Robichaud
WELLINGTON – March 13, 2024 – All French-speaking entrepreneurs looking to buy or sell a business, or wanting to develop strategies to grow their current business, are invited to register free of charge for one or two three-hour workshops to be held on Thursday, April 10, at the Wellington Rural Action Centre (RAC).
The RAC, which offers these workshops in French in collaboration with the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, has once again retained the services of one of its favorite trainers, Ron Robichaud, who has decades of experience in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial training and coaching. Robichaud is the owner of C&R Care & Consulting in Berwick, Nova Scotia.
The morning workshop (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) is entitled “Buying & Selling a Business: Do’s and Don’ts”. The course will assist participants in understanding the financial statements of the business in question to establish its profitability. They’ll learn to think like an investor when buying a business, and discover how to set and achieve profitability goals, then how the purchase of a business is typically financed.
Robichaud will review the main steps as follows:
• Step 1: Situational analysis and why the business is for sale;
• Step 2: Valuation framework;
• Step 3: What are the value drivers?
• Step 4: Valuation and pricing techniques;
• Step 5: Think like an investor;
• Step 6: Standardizing financial statements;
• Step 7: Financing options;
• Step 8: Legal and tax affairs.
EFFECTIVE GROWTH STRATEGIES
The second workshop, running from 1 to 4 p.m., will be entitled “Building Effective Growth Strategies”.
“Most of the entrepreneurs we meet are interested in growing their business in some way. It sounds simple, but in practice, it can be a very difficult thing to achieve,” points out the trainer. “In this workshop, we’ll focus on the growth processes that successful organizations use to identify and evaluate growth opportunities.”
This workshop offers the skills, tools and practical knowledge needed to propel businesses into their next phase of growth, including:
• The Seven Attributes Of Growth;
• The 4 Types Of Growth Strategies;
• How To Identify Opportunities To Grow Your Business;
• Finding Growth Opportunities;
• How To Evaluate Growth Opportunities.
