PEI well represented at Connect Atlantic Forum

DIEPPE, NB – April 23, 2012 – A dozen entrepreneurs, business people and economic stakeholders from Prince Edward Island took advantage of the Connect Atlantic Forum April 18-19 to increase their knowledge about technical innovation.

They were the more than 125 people from all over the Atlantic Provinces who had gathered in Dieppe, N.B., to participate in this forum, coordinated by RDÉE Prince Edward Island and organized jointly with the three other Atlantic Canadian RDÉEs and the Université Sainte-Anne.

Among the numerous presenters and guest speakers were Islanders Francis Thériault and Christian Gallant, who spoke about various tools, sites and technological applications, both online and off, that are extremely practical and very inexpensive, if not free.

Among the Island participants were, top photo from left, Denise Arsenault from Charlottetown, Maurice X. Gallant from Summerside and Raymond Bernard from Wellington.

The highly entertaining opening speaker on April 19 was Jay Nicholson, associate vice-president of personal credit sales at TD Bank Canada. He addressed the theme “The global economy and its challenges for SMEs”.
