ALBERTON – March 2, 2023 – Westech Agriculture Ltd. of Alberton has re-enlisted as a general second-level sponsor of the Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala, following a successful first year in 2022. Raymond J. Arsenault, who coordinates the Gala for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, recently met with the owner of this popular strawberry and sweet potato business, Nora Dorgan, to discuss the sponsorship and its promotional benefits. And then, it was the company’s accountant, Nicole MacEachern, who posed for the sponsorship’s promotional photo with Arsenault. Over the years, Westech has hosted a few interns from the PERCÉ internship program, which is coordinated by the Chamber’s parent organization, RDÉE Prince Edward Island. Last fall, the company also participated in RDÉE PEI’s sales mission to Montreal to explore the sweet potato market. Ten entrepreneurial awards will be presented at the Gala, which will be held on Saturday, March 11, at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village.
