Executive Committee
Composition
The executive committee consists of four (4) directors: president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer.
To ensure its transition, the outgoing presidency may continue to sit on the executive committee, without voting rights, for a period of one (1) year. However, to be able to sit on it, the outgoing presidency must still be part of the board of directors.
The general management of RDÉE ÎPÉ sits on the executive committee. However, it does not have voting rights.
At their first meeting following the annual general meeting, the directors sitting on the board of directors elect the executive committee from among themselves.
Term of office
The terms are two years. Members of the executive committee are elected by a simple majority vote of the directors.
The positions of secretary and treasurer can be combined into one under the title of secretary-treasurer.
The terms of office for members of the executive are renewable up to a maximum of two (2) times. Executive advisors can therefore be consecutively elected for a maximum term of six (6) years.
To the extent possible, the executive committee should be composed of equal representatives from the business sector and the community sector.
At each annual general meeting, elections will be held for two of the four executive members to maintain a constant rotation of members.
The outgoing president will be entitled to continue to serve on the executive in an advisory capacity, but without voting rights, for a period of one year, if the executive deems it desirable or necessary.
