Composition and responsibilities

Board of Directors

Composition

The RDÉE ÎPÉ board of directors is composed of nine (9) directors: five (5) directors from the entrepreneurial sector and four (4) directors from the community sector.

The entrepreneurial sector is represented by entrepreneurs and/or employees of organizations that offer direct services to businesses (e.g., business associations, financial institutions, etc.). As much as possible, an effort is made to ensure equitable representation from the eastern and western regions of the province.

The community sector is represented by provincial or regional organizations working in sectors with economic development impacts such as tourism, youth, population growth, human resource development, the knowledge economy, the cooperative sector, and other emerging areas.

When board positions cannot be filled by the general meeting, the board of directors may appoint directors.

The general management of RDÉE ÎPÉ sits on the board of directors without voting rights.

The directors are elected for a term of three (3) years. This term is renewable one (1) time. Directors may therefore be elected consecutively for a maximum period of six (6) years.
