Deepening their knowledge about marketing

WELLINGTON – Jan. 12, 2012 – Eight people, including entrepreneurs, business students and people working in the community sector, greatly appreciated the first in a series of workshops touching on various aspects of marketing and promotion.

Offered by ProfitLearn PEI, in collaboration with the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and the Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É., the first workshop, delivered in Wellington Jan. 11, looked specifically at marketing plans.

From left are workshop leader Bernard Belliveau from Apropos Marketing Communications of Moncton, NB., seen discussing the workshop material with entrepreneur Marie Anne Arsenault, owner of À Point Boutique of Mont-Carmel, and Joël Bernard of Abram’s Village, student in the college’s business program.

A second workshop, slated for Wednesday, Jan. 18, will address business promotion; there is still time to register for this French workshop by calling 854-2328, Ext. 228. If there is sufficient interest, workshops on branding and market researching could also be offered by the same trainer in February.
