More than 580 performers on stage at same time!
ABRAM’S VILLAGE – June 21, 2012 – It is under the theme « Logical Echo” that the eight “Villages des Sources” from Quebec, New Brunswick and PEI will present the 13th annual edition of “Chanter la Vie”, a huge mega-show featuring a choir more than 500 youth aged 11- 21 years accompanied by 50 musicians from the Ensemble Antoine Perreault.
As part of their Quebec and PEI tour, these choir singers and musicians will present their astounding testimonial show at the Evangeline Recreation Center in Abram-Village July 7th starting at 8:15 p.m.
Admission is $6 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds go to the Village des Sources l’Étoile Filante (VSEF) of PEI that is planning several camps for students from PEI’s six French schools during the upcoming 2012-2013 school year.
“This will be the first time that the Chanter la Vie tour comes to PEI so we are extremely pleased to be able to host this amazing show,” said Jeannette Gallant, co-president of the VSEF. “A few of our PEI members are also in the show so we are really looking forward to seeing their performance. We encourage all Islanders and visitors to come out in large numbers to support this amazing concert that will forever touch their heart.
The other co-president, Sylvain Gallant, adds that audiences will have no choice, while listening to this wonderful cultural and spiritual manifestation, but to appreciate more fully the warm heart of our youth and to get a sampling of what the Village des Sources camps are all about. “This is a show not to be missed!” he said.
According to the Village des Sources philosophy, “When I sow words or gestures of peace, it is only logical that the fruit I will reap will be peaceful. If I toss around hurtful words or actions, I could very well feel the sting of that venom too. It is just pure logic!”
The theme however goes beyond what is logical. “Young people choose Chanter la Vie not only for the power they get from it but also from their sense of duty of breaking the logic of intimidation and violence to amplify the sense of goodness, joy and mutual support. The little magic word that gives me this power is the word choice where each person tries to become better. We try to let others experience the beauty, the good and the best that is in all of us.”
