WELINGTON, PEI – Feb. 28, 2012 – This year will mark the 11h time that RDÉE Prince Edward Island has taken on the planning and coordination of the Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala (formerly Entrepreneurs’ Banquet).
The RDÉE is again paying for the event’s coordination, accounting services and all supplementary costs not covered by other event sponsors.
Gary Doucette, right, executive director of the RDÉE, presents coordinator Raymond J. Arsenault a symbolic envelope to represent this main sponsorship contribution. Planning for the event usually begins in the summer and continues right until the event in March. This year, the gala will be held Saturday, March 17, at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside.
Over its 11 years of existence, the banquet has been under the umbrella of the Baie Acadienne Development Corporation and the RDÉE, but is now the highlight event of the year for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
