MONTRÉAL – October 16, 2026 – A dozen bilingual businesses from Prince Edward Island will explore «very good sales opportunities» during a specialized fall sales mission that extends far beyond usual. «Ordinarily, we bring our sellers from the Island to Montreal or Quebec City. But in this 20th mission, some of our sellers are also going to Ontario and others will attempt to sell virtually in Alberta and British Columbia!" proclaims Robert Maddix, who coordinates these missions for RDÉE Prince Edward Island.e Island entrepreneurs will attempt to sell a bit of everything, from specialty chocolate to perfume, oysters to wood chippers, as well as cheese, blueberries, dog treats, cider, jewelry, culinary experiences related to potatoes, and sports training.
Mr. Maddix adds that this time, sellers will participate in about 80 sales meetings with high-potential buyers. "In the past, we targeted buyers in the general fields of our sellers. This time, we have entered into an advanced contract with Clientis, the Quebec firm that handles matchmaking, to better target likely buyers and to do a pre-.
sales pitch for our participants. So when our sellers arrive at the meetings, it will essentially be to finalize the details of the sale.«HIGH EXPECTATIONS This additional approach significantly increases the probability of sales compared to previous missions. He expects very positive economic outcomes, even though the majority of sellers this time are micro-enterprises. For two of the companies participating in the Clientis immersion program, the groundwork has been even more advanced, and these are practically contract finalization meetings.»
The deputy coordinator of the mission, Sebastian Vargas, notes that four of the 12 companies will participate virtually in the mission while most of the others will participate in person from October 26 to 30. Some will attend their meetings on other dates.
Each of the sellers has already participated in training on effective selling in 30 minutes. All sellers will participate in a final virtual preparation meeting on October 20. There, those participating in person will leave on the morning of October 26 heading to Quebec. Upon arrival in Montreal, they will all meet to review the week's schedule.
Erika Marcelo of Purely PEI and Jean-Sébastien Morin of Parfums AtmoViva will attempt to sell their products during the 20th sales mission.
GREAT MEETINGS.
